One of my favorite times of the year is upon us. The nights and mornings are nice and chilly. The leaves are about to change and give us a magnificent show that I never grow tired of enjoying, and hunting season has begun.
According to the Virginia Dept of Forestry, the peak time to enjoy the colors of fall in the mountains of Virginia and along the parkway this year is going to be mid to late October. They also have some links to some routes to take in different regions.
If you have never taken a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fall to witness this firsthand you should definitely take some time out of your busy schedules to do so. You won't be disappointed.
Oh..and happy hunting!! Hopefully there will be some pictures of some nice whitetail bucks here shortly.
